Focus/Initiatives
Our initial efforts will be focused on gaining a better understanding of our supplier base, developing a supportive infrastructure for supplier diversity, and expanding our outreach to diverse suppliers.
We have established an internal team to implement the following activity goals:

Implement mechanism to track the amount of dollars we
spend with diverse suppliers, enterprise-wide

Update our profile of current suppliers

Conduct ongoing analysis of areas of opportunity for
diverse suppliers

Orient/train internal procurement specialists on
supplier diversity practices and processes

Develop a sourcing and outreach strategy to increase the
number of diverse suppliers with whom we conduct business

Establish communication pieces to increase the
visibility of supplier diversity efforts on our Intranet and
Internet Web sites

Develop relationships with national and local referral
and development organizations for diverse suppliers
As our program matures we will add numeric goals and additional activity goals.
