Support for Content Initiatives: CONTENT
United Stationers maintains a database with information on all products to populate our electronic and print materials. Information about your products helps the consumer understand the unique features and benefits. However, especially in electronic media, product data also helps the consumer FIND your product.
The following is a partial list of the type of information that is required from you:
Global information – applies to all items. Examples include shipping weight, carton dimensions, Unit of Measure and UPS-able (Y/N).
Attributes – facts that are needed to be known about a specific category of items based on what the item is. Examples include color, size, and capacity. There are also attributes specific to the type of item (e.g. pens will not have the same type of information as shredders).
- Brand
- Product copy
- EPA/CPG compliance
- Recycled content – Pre-Consumer, Post-Consumer, and Total %
- Keywords – for use in search engines
- Warranty information
