How to Become A Supplier or Service Provider

We are a leading wholesale distributor in a number of categories including: Traditional Office Products, Office Furniture, Computer Supplies and Accessories, Food Service and Janitorial/Sanitation Supplies, and Industrial Supplies. Product Supplier
To our manufacturers, these capabilities provide an outstanding opportunity to reduce their cost of sales and distribution, and to increase awareness and demand for their products among business product consumers throughout the U.S.
To be considered as a potential supplier to United Stationers, the first point of contact is with the appropriate Category Product Manager.
Selection of new suppliers and new items that we choose for distribution and placement in our catalog depend on the fit that the supplier and their products have within the product category. Our Category Product Managers are responsible for reviewing products and suppliers within their categories of responsibility.
- From a product perspective, the Category Product Managers look at everything a consumer considers, from product features and functionality, to innovation and uniqueness. They also consider position within the product assortment and financial metrics, such as value for the consumer and category profitability, for us and our resellers.
- From a supplier perspective, the Category Product Managers review the suppliers’ ability to meet national service expectations and their ability to support our accounts in the field. They are also increasingly looking at suppliers’ diversity status and outreach efforts, and initiatives toward sustainability.

Service Provider
Professional services and consultants provide an array of resources to United Stationers as needs arise or to extend capabilities.
